Great News for New Georgia Drivers!
Did you know that you can now take an on-site Road Test at any GDSA-approved driving school?
There are a few stipulations (see below), but your options are greater than ever before to avoid the madness at the DDS and get your driver’s license quickly.
- New 16- and 17-year-old drivers – Must have completed the 30-hour Joshua’s Law Driver’s Ed program and have done at least 6 hours of in-car instruction at a DDS-approved driving school.
- Adults 18 years and older: Must have completed at least 6 hours of in-car lessons at a DDS-approved driving school.
If you have completed the above, you can now take your Georgia Road Test at ANY DDS-approved driving school. This is great news because most DDS Service Centers are backed up due to COVID-19. So, you won’t have to wait a long time to take your Road Test and hit the road.
